Consequences

Positive Consequences

  • Have parents sign tests and students bring them back for points
  • Students who arrive on time everyday each month will be rewarded by dropping their lowest homework grade
  • Students who raise their had before speaking will be allowed to speak
  • Students will be able to receive marbles to be placed in a jar for working well in class, staying on task, or everyone in the class earning a good grade on a test or quiz.  When the jar is full, the class will receive a pizza party or something else that they choose.
  • I will recognize students when they achieve a goal in their sports, dance, cheer leading  music, motocross, or any activities or hobbies they have by placing a picture of their activity with their name on it on a bulletin board in the classroom.
  • If students participate in discussions, activities, and complete their homework we will play a math game every other Friday.

Negative Consequences

  •  Have parents sign tests and students bring them back for points
  • Students who do not raise their hand before speaking will not be called on.  If they repeat this action they will have to meet with me and further discipline (i.e. lunch detention) will be discussed if the action keeps occurring.
  • If students are talking and being disruptive they will not be able to work in groups if there is classwork.
  • Students who are late to class:
The first two times they are late they will get a warning.  The third time they are late they will spend their lunch period with me.  If they are late more than three times then they will receive a detention

  • If a student disrupts class three times they will receive a detention.
  • Students will follow all computer lab rules or else they will not be able to use the computers.
